Gracias, Juan Carlos!

On these days We graciously took part in the opening of the Prado Museum exhibition in the Hermitage. Unfortunately not every masterpiece presenting Our image arrived at the snowy St.Petersburg, for example, this one:

Rubens, Three Graces

Peter Paul Rubens, Three Graces

The story of its creation is very dramatic:

Peter Paul adored Our generous grace, and doubted for a long time which Grace should we represent, Aglae or Euphrosina? (we are too gracious for Talia). X-ray investigation of the painting shows the artist’s search:

Rubens, Three Graces, variations

Rubens, Three Graces, variations

He came to the true solution: the more Cats is the better.

In spite of the lack of this masterpiece, the exhibition is brilliant, and we gracefully took part in the official opening ceremony:

Three Graces more

Other Tree Graces

Gracias, Juan Carlos I, gracias!
