The story of St.Gertrude, patron saint of cats

Do you know that today, the 17th of March, is the day of St.Gertrude of Nivelles, patron saint of cats?
Here we are, St.Gertrude herself and cats Zarathustra and David Bowie captured in stained glass:

“Dear patron saint, do you have enough shrimps for your angel?”

“Dear patron saint, why my bro always thinks about shrimps and other lofty matters, and don’t want to play with me?”

And do you know that previously St Gertrude of Nivelles was usually pictured with a lot of mice around?

Here you see the reason for it:

But once We woke up, and no more mice at St.Gertrude icons.

Thus speaks Zarathustra the Cat
